Egg Shoots are a 22lr only shooting sport that is not terribly complicated, but still challenging. The targets are typically 40 steel targets shaped like eggs and the size of an actual chicken egg. We shoot them in banks of 10 eggs at 10, 15, 20 and 25 yards with rifles, and/or 7,9,11,and 13 yards with pistols. There is no real time limit, but they are shot standing with no support, and you may only use one round per egg. There are divisions for iron sights, red dots, or magnified optics with either type of firearm. No experience is necessary, but pre-registration is required. Information on pre-registration is generally posted to our blog one week before the match.
